- **Event Description**: A validity challenge has been filed to repeal the Dec. 15th 2025 Tobyhanna Township’s BOS decision to allow an “Overlay” in rural Residential Zoning for a Data Center to be built.
The challenge will be heard by the Tobyhanna Township Zoning Hearing board on March 11th @ 5pm . these meetings are usually held at the Township building, however the location may change in order to accommodate the public as we are hoping and expecting many people within the community to show up in support of our challenge to This Data Center being built in Environmentally Sensitive Area in a Rural Residential on land abutting the Lehigh River and between Locust Ridge Road and Route 115. (the old and defunct Tarheel quarry, of which 40 acres were once used by the quarry of a 500 acre property they hope to sell and develop as a huge Data Center. 
This affects all of us in the commuity, our peace & quiet, nature and the animals that live in the many hundreds of acres that have been preserved for natural habitat which surround the area around the proposed Data Center. Our water supply and quality, air quality , noise and just about every aspect of our lives and what the poconos represents . 
The Zoning Hearing Board meeting is the first step of what may become a long and expensive legal battle. Our group has retained an attorney to represent us at the Zoning hearing board meeting and we feel confident he will be able to prove the decision made by the BOS is ILLEGAL SPOT ZONING.
Please join us in Support to oppose this very bad decision made by the previous BOS and request the Zoning hearing board to overturn it. Let’s come together to protect our community and our natural resources and landscape.
