This in-person event is a perfect opportunity to network with fellow filmmakers, exchange tips and tricks, and discuss the latest trends in the industry. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this meetup is open to all levels of experience and all craft specialties of film and video. Details at www.FilmAsburyPark.comOur special guest will be local filmmaker Nick Wolf who is in production of his short thriller film MANASQUAN MONSTER. Nick will give us a synopsis of his film, its inception and progress toward completion. A Q&A will follow.NICK WOLF BIO:Nick is a writer, actor and filmmaker based in Asbury Park.While studying creative writing and philosophy at Roanoke College, Wolf decided to leave his lacrosse scholarship and act in the school’s theatre. In 2014, after two productions, a Syfy Channel producer sought him out for a movie called #FollowFriday, thus igniting his immense interest for film and television. Wolf then won his first ever film festival with his short film, The Pay Up.After graduation and being inducted into the college’s Film Hall of Fame in 2016, Wolf chose to take his talents back home to the Jersey Shore and NYC. After acting in many short films, student projects, and background extra gigs such as The Irishman & JOKER, Wolf thought it was time to finally blend his love of writing and film to create his own productions for a living.Howl Peak Productions was then born in 2017 with intentions of producing short films, music videos, commercials for local companies, concert coverage, social media content, and pretty much any type of job that required filming and editing. Here is where the filmmaking journey really began. With each new job or production, another door opened leading to new people, places, and magic. Wolf then produced his second short film The 13th Born and third film Burden in his hometown of Jackson, NJ.During the lockdown of 2020, Wolf was casted in a Lifetime TV movie called Secrets of Sorority Row which filmed in Salem, VA. Shortly after, he formed a shock-rock goth band called Wolfspeak which predominantly performed around the tristate area. The band opened for Doyle Von Frankenstein of Misfits and headlined an apocalypse festival in PA. Wolf filmed, edited, and produced all of the band’s music video and social media content.In 2024 at the APN3 Film Challenge presented by the Asbury Park Arts Council, Wolf had taken home first place as well as the Audience Choice Award for his fourth short film Residential Treasure. In 2025, he produced his fifth and sixth short film Path of Transfer and Holy Twist.Currently, Wolf is in production on his newest, seventh, and biggest short film yet- Manasquan Monster. This 30 minute aquatic thriller is about an ancient sea legend, thought to be folklore, who has made its way into the Manasquan River on one of the busiest days of the summer. It's hunting frenzy has reeked havoc on the locals and this is especially true for protagonist Kelsey who seems to be favorited by the elusive creature. Wolf plans to showcase the film at festivals and a local screenings in 2027.ABOUT THE LONG BRANCH ARTS & CULTURAL CENTEREstablished in 2021.
