The Queer 26 Writing Meetup: A Working Session + Donation Drive in Downtown Long Beach, CA (Specific Location will be sent to those that RSVP ahead of time).

Join us for a productive afternoon of writing! Whether you're a seasoned writer or just starting out, this meetup is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow queer writers and get some work done in a supportive environment. Bring your laptop, notebook, or whatever you use to write, and prepare to be inspired by the energy of the group. We'll have dedicated time for writing, as well as opportunities to share your work and receive feedback.

All that identify as LGBTQ+ are welcome to join.

This session is doubling as a donation drive for Long Beach Community Table. Please bring donations of hygiene products, and/or money (taken here or at the meetup via Long Beach Community Table's Paypal). All products should be new, unused, and unopened. Suggestions provided below.

About Long Beach Community Table:

Long Beach Community Table (LBCT) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, cooperative (meaning that all volunteers and recipients share in the effort and the benefits), that nourish those who are struggling and provides resources that allow us all to mutually sustain each other, our families, and our neighbors. In the spirit of community, many of our volunteers are also recipients, and vice versa…this is what makes us a true mutual aid organization and not a charity.

Each week, our dedicated volunteer team distributes 40,000+ lbs. of groceries and fresh produce, as well as clothing and toiletries, to more than 6,000 homeless individuals, low-income families, students, seniors, veterans, and homebound people with disabilities or medical conditions, on a free or nominal donation basis. Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, we have expanded our resources to meet the significantly increased needs of struggling area residents.
