Sea Shells and Starfish Ornament Making Workshop

SHELLS AND STARFISH ORNAMENT WORKSHOP
Get ready to create your own coastal-inspired masterpieces! (2 ornaments)
Christin Nash will guide you step-by-step through the process of:

Wire-wrapping techniques: Discover simple and effective wire-wrapping methods to securely attach your beads and create a hanging loop.
Designing with sea glass beads: Choose from a stunning assortment of natural and tumbled sea glass beads to create a unique and personalized design.

You'll also create a beautiful decoupage oyster shell where you'll transform a simple oyster shell. In this hands-on class, you'll learn the art of decoupage using festive, holiday-themed papers. Christin will guide you through each step of the process, including:
Preparing your oyster shell: Learn how to properly clean and prep an oyster shell to create a smooth surface for decoupaging.
Selecting your design: Choose from a wide variety of beautiful Christmas-themed papers—from classic holly berries and festive plaid to whimsical snowflakes and vintage Santas.
Mastering the decoupage technique: Our instructor will teach you the proper way to apply and seal your paper to the shell for a professional, long-lasting finish.
Adding the final touches: We'll show you how to apply a glossy finish and a festive ribbon so you can hang your finished ornament on your tree or display it as a unique piece of holiday decor.

This workshop is perfect for all skill levels and a wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit. All materials, including oyster shells, a selection of Christmas papers, decoupage medium, and ribbons, will be provided. You'll leave with a beautiful, one-of-a-kind ornament that will be a cherished part of your holiday traditions for years to come.

In person registration will begin: Monday thru Thursday September 15th from 5:30pm thru 8:pm at the Long Beach Middle School Main Office located at 239 Lido Boulevard, Lido Beach.
