As most of you know, our dear friend and colleague Peter Ramirez passed away earlier this month. Peter’s contributions to Sister Cities of Long Beach span many years, and his loyalty and dedication have left a lasting impact on our organization.

In recognition of his service, Mayor Richardson will be honoring Peter and hosting his family at the Long Beach City Council meeting on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. A brief celebration of Peter’s life will take place at the start of the meeting, which begins at 5:00 PM.

Your presence at this special tribute would be greatly appreciated, if you are able to attend. Please let us know of your availability and please share this information with others whom you know that might be able to attend.
