Our July BHCA Book Club selection is Anxious People by Fredrik Backman — a funny, thoughtful, and surprisingly tender novel about a failed bank robbery, an apartment open house, and a group of strangers who discover they may have more in common than they expected.

As with many of Backman’s stories, there’s humor woven together with heart, awkward humanity, and the gentle reminder that everyone is carrying something unseen. It’s the sort of book that can make you laugh on one page and quietly rethink life on the next. In other words: perfect book club material.
