16mm Performances by Luis Macias

FRAMES is thrilled to welcome Spanish filmmaker Luis Macias to London for a presentation of his unique & innovative expanded cinema performances for multiple 16mm projectors.

Macias is a co-founder and active member of CRATER-Lab in Barcelona, an artist-run space for the creation and exhibition of analogue experimental film projects. His performances explore the materiality of the photochemical medium, altering and transforming the image through rhythmic manipulation of the projection apparatus.

This event will include three distinct works with a total duration around one hour plus a brief intermission.
