Bridging the written word and the visual arts, many ekphrastic poems serve as odes to artworks that moved and inspired the poets who wrote them.To kick off the session, poet and performance artist Karenjit Sandhu will perform excerpts from her poetry collection ‘gestalt.’ It was shaped by her research into the Panchayat Collection at Tate Library, which focuses on Panchayat, a collective of South Asian and Black artists and practitionersParticipants will then have the opportunity to write and share their own work in response, while gaining valuable feedback from Sandhu and each other.A free copy of Sandhu’s poetry collection ‘gestalt’ will be provided with each ticket purchase, courtesy of the87press.There are only 20 places available and it’s £5 to secure your spot.Bagri Samaya SeriesThe Spirit of the CraftThe Bagri Foundation launches the Samaya Series 2026.
