I was born in a small town, but spent most of my life in Kyiv - our capital city, where we built our home. I came to the UK in February 2022, soon after the war started. I now live here with my daughter and her young children, beginning a different chapter of my life. Before coming to the UK, I worked for over 30 years as a computer and software engineer, travelling widely as a consultant for international companies. I was fortunate to experience many cultures and cuisines around the world — but of course, home cooking is always the best!Many Ukrainians now live in the UK, but you may not yet have had the chance to try Ukrainian cuisine.
