Against the backdrop of the Trump Administration’s disregard of Venezuelan sovereignty and a controversial 2025 National Security Strategy that questions the value of long-standing alliances, the seminar aims to explore the relationship between the United States, China, and Russia, and what this implies for Europe and the wider international system.Drawing on their expertise on Russian foreign and security policy, Chinese global engagement, and the erosion of the post-Cold War rules-based order, the speakers will consider how Trump 2.0 is altering the balance within the US-China-Russia triangle and what the implications are for Europe, Beijing’s global ambitions, and Moscow’s war in Ukraine.Speaker BiosDr Bobo Lo is an independent international relations analyst and leading expert on Russian and Chinese foreign policy.
