The hurdles often include significant poverty and family backgrounds. Many are the first in their family to go to university; many know first hand about immigration, homelessness, and family members in Pr*son. We start with educational outreach at secondary school level and we are still there for those first steps as fledgling barristers.Work at the criminal Bar is difficult: it is tough, working for some of society's most vulnerable who are caught within the criminal justice systems.
