New Orleans is a city with a great soul.  The "Ikos New Orleans Music Shop" was a uniquely New Orleans-themed London jam session started in 2010 at the exceptionally dive-ey Alley Cat, Denmark Street by famed DJ Lil' Koko and me.   It ran till 2015, resurfaced for one "episode" in North London, and then began again at the Temple Of Art and Music (TAM) in Elephant and Castle.  
Because it's me managing my career, and my ADHD causes me to act emotionally, I became enemy number one of the guys at TAM, largely because I chose to release my solo record "Live at the Temple" (they never would have done) and they responded by not paying us.  
Nolan has now asked me to bring the Music Shop up the creaky stairs, past the restaurant, and into the jazz room at the fantastic Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club.

I came up playing jam sessions - first at the International Student's House, where I thought I could play jazz standards, then loosely and soulfully with the Earth Brothers and the Icini Jam in Mayfair. For you kids, that's literally the 90s.  I want to remember my friend Milton Johnson at this time x
