Award-winning progressive vocalist That Joe Payne announces he’ll be releasing a new single this June, titled D!CK-POTATO, complete with a special launch show at London’s The Camden Club.
D!CK-POTATO will be the singer-songwriter’s first solo release since his 2023 album, BREAD & CIRCUSES. Last year, Payne featured as the vocalist on Jordan Rudess’ PERMISSION TO FLY, which was released on Inside Out Music (Sony), a record which recently won BEST PROGRESSIVE ROCK ALBUM in The Progspace Awards 2024.
Now with an 8-piece band, complete with backing vocalists, That Joe’s show has just been upgraded to look and sound bolder than ever. Audiences can expect new music, plus a ‘best-of’ from the singer’s wide back catalogue. This show promises next-level Payne!
SUPPORT: This show also includes opening act LUKE WARM - a London base Drag King who may be remembered by fans for appearing as the MC in That Joe's 'Live the Dream' music video.

Progressive-music vocalist, That Joe Payne, is recognised for his involvement with a variety of projects, from solo releases to collaborations with artists such as Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), The Enid, John Holden, and Zio.
Based in Northampton, England, and remembered by audiences for boasting an impressive five-octave range and flamboyant showmanship, his voice has appeared on no less than seventeen album releases since his career began in 2011.
Personal achievements include being voted Best Male Vocalist two years running by the readers of Prog Magazine, a Best Album Progspace Award with Jordan Rudess, and three Progressive Music Award nominations for his work with The Enid.
THE CAMDEN CLUB is one of London's newest and most exciting venues (opposite The Roundhouse in Camden/Chalk Farm). Cabaret-style seating with gourmet 'Burger Bites' table service - please support the venue by buying food and drinks as this keeps venue hire prices down, enabling bands to play here. Tables are unreserved; get here early for the best in the house!
Entrance is via a flight of steps up from street level and then a flight of steps down to floor level. Please contact the organisers if you need to use the accessible (step-free) entrance.
