He holds a BA (Hons) in Caribbean Studies and Media Studies from London Metropolitan University and a Master’s in International Relations.Beyond writing, David has been deeply involved in cultural and community work: he has served as Secretary for the World Carnival Commission, a judge with both the London Notting Hill Carnival and Hackney One Carnival, and Media Manager (now Director) of the Notting Hill Carnival Pioneers Festival.
