SUNDAY-IN-VERSE Poetry Reading at The Proud Archivist

Sunday-in-verse

Three poets from Athens living in London are joining their threads and lines for one evening. Their common point of departure is Greek language and a passion for metaphors, their nest is here, with a view to the light through the words and beyond. Three individual voices sharing what is not lost in translation and what is found in meaning.

In times when all facts that surround us feed an ever-growing uncertainty about home and identity, and where the spring is indecisive about her appearance, poetry is still here to raise us.Poetry is a language in itself and it is also a necessity; to dream and to remain human.

Nikos Erinakis, Natalie Katsou and Haris Psarras will be reading poems from their published collections both in Greek and in English.

Translations by Yiannis Goumas, Vassilis Manoussakis and J.L Williams.

Sunday 17 April 2017 at 6pm.

Annex Room at THE PROUD ARCHIVIST.

Free entry.
