All welcome and no need to know how to read music, but we encourage a readiness to learn a few sentences (or a few words) in Ukrainian and Cantonese. Take part in singing-related warm up exercises for wellbeing, learn a widely beloved Ukrainian folk song, a calming and lyrical traditional Cantonese folk song, a beautiful British folk tune and more. A workshop with connection at its heart, there will be time to share stories and memories around singing and folk legends. After the workshop, you are also invited to write or draw these stories in a community scroll that would be displayed in an exhibition for the Camden Connects project at Swiss Cottage Library. Come along and sing together!This is a part of Camden Connects, with the European Culture Foundation, Camden Libraries, Family4Peace and Stories in the Streets.Camden Connects is also hosting a community afternoon from 11am - 2pm. You are welcome to join the event as well as this singing workshop.
