The Club has grown, cooked, foraged and identified mushrooms together, visited Kew's Fungarium, imagined what it's like to be a fungus, heard talks about mycology and community building, the enclosure of the commons, fungi's relationships with lichen, the roles of mushrooms in slowing climate breakdown, and much much more.We now want to start the new year with a crafts session. While there are fewer fungi to see outside, we come together to imagine them. Join the South London Mushroom Club at this crafting session: activities are set to include origami, embroidery, botanical illustration and ornament painting. You will be able to take your creations home with you.No experience needed, and all materials provided. And if you have mushroom crafts that you would like to share with the group, please do bring them along!All are welcome to join us to celebrate the closing of the year, to gather and to socialise with like-minded people for a crafty fun evening.This is a donation based event, open to those with a shared love of fungi and all things mushroom-related, living or hanging out in (South) London.
