Through an engaging panel discussion, senior leaders from across government, politics and public service will share candid reflections on leadership, ambition, representation and the experiences that have shaped their journeys.Inspired by this year's Making Home theme, the discussion will explore what it means not only to enter the institutions that shape our society, but to thrive within them and help shape their future. The conversation will move beyond career milestones to explore identity, belonging, influence and the importance of opening doors for the next generation. The event will then transition into a dedicated networking reception, creating space for established leaders, mid-career professionals, students and aspiring public servants to connect across generations, exchange ideas and build lasting professional relationships. Whether you are looking for inspiration, mentorship, new connections or simply to meet others working across public life, this is an opportunity to become part of a growing community committed to supporting Somali excellence in public service.Featuring a distinguished panel of Somali leaders from across government and public life, this promises to be one of the first opportunities to bring together such a broad cross-section of Somali professionals in one room. Speaker announcements will follow. This event is supported by Tower Hamlets Council - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/london/somalis-in-government-sig-launch-event-claiming-space-somali-leadership/100001997146073668 - **Event Categories**: business, festivals - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 0 - **Event Highlights**: - Duration: 3 hours - Location: Oxford House in Bethnal Green - Languages: English ## Ticket Details - **Ticket Price Range**: min: 0, max: 0, currency: GBP ## Event venue details - **city**: London - **state**: EN - **country**: United Kingdom - **location**: Oxford House in Bethnal Green - **lat**: 51.526287 - **long**: -0.06143299999996543 - **full address**: Oxford House in Bethnal Green, Derbyshire Street, London, United Kingdom ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: Somalis in Government (SiG) Launch Event Claiming Space: Somali Leadership - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events6/banners/618ce808bab1678feed6735480a849998eec5cdcca455cb4809e520dce229b22-rimg-w1200-h600-dc080808-gmir.jpg?v=1787078671 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is Somalis in Government (SiG) Launch Event Claiming Space: Somali Leadership being held? - **A:** Somalis in Government (SiG) Launch Event Claiming Space: Somali Leadership takes place on Sun, 18 Oct, 2026 at 02:00 pm to Sun, 18 Oct, 2026 at 05:00 pm at Oxford House in Bethnal Green, Derbyshire Street, London, United Kingdom. - **Q**: Who is organizing Somalis in Government (SiG) Launch Event Claiming Space: Somali Leadership? - **A:** Somalis in Government (SiG) Launch Event Claiming Space: Somali Leadership is organized by Kayd Somali Arts and Culture. - **Q**: Who is this event for?
