Super excited to announce this SMOOTH STYLE LINDY HOP WORKSHOP at the Steeles pub!
The incredible Paolo Pasta Lanna (Choreographer | Dancer | Producer | Designer) will be in London for one workshop!
Paolo is a 30 year veteran of Swing Dance specializing in Lindy Hop, Balboa, Collegiate Shag, Charleston and The Madison Time. He was the first Lindy Hopper to TOUR with with Wynton Marsalis & The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra and in 1998 won the American Swing Dance Championships amongst many others. He has performed with “Swing Dance America”, “Forever Swing” The Musical Revue featuring Michael Buble and has appeared on multiple TV specials like Great Stuff CNBC , Today Show NBC, Good Morning America ABC, and even The David Letterman Show CBS. He co-founded and launched the first Summer Jamboree Dance Camp in Italy, The Shake, Rhythm & Roll Festival in Asbury Park, and he’s the creative director of Central Park Swings, Lindyland & The Swing Remix dance spectacular in NYC.His recent tours in Europe have included LIVE performances with Ray Gelato & The Giants at the Umbria Jazz festival in Perugia ITALY and the San Sebastian Jazz Festival in SPAIN. His newest program - LINDYLAND At The pier is a virtual swing hub. Mr Lanna also coordinates & directs his dance teams Lindy Hop All-Stars, & The Rhythm Stompers, and continues to hone his skills in American born social dances, teaching, DJing, and performing throughout the world. What to expect?
Kicking off at 1pm with a double workshop, we will be teaching smooth style Lindy hop moves and styling! Paolo is one of the most stylish smooth Lindy dancers internantionally so please grab this opportunity to learn from the best! Both workshops material will be geared to moves and styling that can be used in social dancing!
1-2pm - Smooth/ Hollywood style Lindy moves and styling for social dancing!
2.15-3.15pm - Lindy dips and tricks for social dancing!
