Sewing Skills for Beginners: 6-Week Course

This is a 6-week in-person course running every Tuesday night 6.30-9 pm from 20th January until 24th February.

Learn to sew with confidence in this sewing course in London at the Make & Mend Studio with Natti. Whether you’re starting from scratch or brushing up on the basics, this relaxed, small-group workshop will help you master your machine and achieve a professional finish.

Perfect for complete beginners or anyone returning to sewing after a break, you’ll be guided through essential techniques in a supportive, creative environment. Ideal for anyone looking for unique things to do in London.

What to expect:

• Choose the right sewing machine, needles, and threads.
• Learn how to thread your machine and wind the bobbin.
• Sew basic stitches, open and closed seams.
• Finish raw edges with edge stitching and top stitching.
• Read simple patterns and create a turned hem.
• Enjoy hands-on learning in a beautiful studio setting.

• Tote bag.

• Appliquéd cushion.

What you'll get:

• Small group sessions (max 6 participants) with plenty of 1:1 support.
• Sewing machines and all materials provided (or bring your own).

What to bring: Bring your own textiles if you wish.

This class series runs over 6 consecutive sessions, at the same time every week.
