Richmond Park (Sheen Gate), Fife Road, London, United Kingdom
Sheen Gate - Beverley Brook Walk - King Clump - Petersham Park - Sheen Gate (11.7km)
GRADE: MODERATE
Max elevation: 55m
Total ascent: 115m
Welcome to Freshwalks (see video below) and our first event in South West London as we mark our debut in the capital city with a glorious spring stroll around Richmond Park, the largest of its Royal Parks.
This walk is being led by both Freshwalks founder, Michael Di Paola and regional partner, Dominic Collard.
We intend to start the walk from East Sheen Gate at 10am and ask that walkers meet us near the toilets from 9.45am so we can start the walk on time. We'll take a clockwise loop inside the perimeter of the park, moving at a gentle pace all attendees are comfortable with. We'll stop halfway round for a picnic break, the length of which will be weather dependent and should arrive back at our starting point sometime between 1.30pm and 2pm.
Parking is free and Mortlake station is 20 minutes walk from Sheen Gate for those who'd prefer to use public transport. There are plenty of toilet stops on the route.
What should you bring?
More information will be sent out in the week before the walk but you'll need to bring drinking water and possibly packed lunch though there'll be opportunities to purchase food and refreshments on the walk should you wish. We'd recommend a decent pair of walking boots or shoes or do prepare for trainers to get muddy at this time of year. Take a layered approach to clothing and bring along some waterproofs.

FAQs
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
An event pack will be sent out at least 72 hours before the walk. This should answer most things but feel free to email bWljaGFlbCB8IGZyZXNod2Fsa3MgISBjbyAhIHVr with any questions you may have. If you've not received the pack by this time, check your email junk or spam and then contact us. Receiving this pack is essential as it includes important disclaimers and health and safety information.
What's the refund policy?
Please take a little look at our refund policy here:

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, you're fine as you are. We keep track of the attendees and check you off on arrival. However, if you have a confirmation email saved onto your phone, this may be useful on the rare occasion that there are any issues.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
If you can no longer make it, please be sure to contact us with at least 24 hours notice. We try to be as accommodating as possible and understand that work commitments may pop up. Therefore, if you do need to transfer your ticket to a colleague, please contact us with their full details so we can organise the transfer in good time including the signing of the relevant legal disclaimers.
