- **Event Description**: An evening exploring regenerative systems in nature and technology. Presented by Hurry Up We’re Dreaming.About this EventJoin us for a special evening exploring regenerative systems in nature and technology: how living natural systems and ancient practices can guide and shape new technologies to grow and regrow.Together, we’ll explore what emergent technologies can learn from deeply rooted regenerative approaches found in living systems. Regeneration is about going beyond minimising ecological damage and instead looking to restore, heal, renew, regrow and restore. We also acknowledge that technology lives beyond the digital and machines. Natural technologies have existed for many millennia. As Robin Wall Kimmerer reminds us, the marvel of science comes to us not from Silicon Valley, but from maize.Joined by a panel of very special guests, the evening will ask how we might apply these regenerative approaches to how we relate to technology and how we might invite a future guided by flourishing, resilience and regrowth. An informal conversation, moderated by Anna Gerber, HUWD founder, between:Dem Gerolemou, UX Designer Google ResearchDem is a UX designer at Google Research focused on Crisis Resilience—aiming to ensure that no one is surprised by a natural disaster.
