Mostly paved surfaces.About this EventEach summer, on the first weekend in August, a group of riders sets off on a leisure ride from London to Amsterdam in memory of David Eales. Day two of the ride is from Canterbury to Dover. We will follow the same route. This is a great route with mesmerising views, some climbs, and beautiful scenery. Cycling along the coastline will be one of your best cycling adventures.We will take a train from St Pancras International to Canterbury, stop for breakfast before cycling from Canterbury to Dover. We expect to start cycling from Canterbury at about 11:00. Along the route, we will have another refreshment stop and several water stops. Once we reach Dover (ETA 17:00-17:30), riders can head straight to the station and take the next train to London, or take the one we recommend (see below).
