This 2-day course over 2 Sundays introduces you to a selection of power tools and how they are used in joining plywood. You will learn to assemble using biscuits, screw and plugs and half-lap joinery, along with using hand tools and master common and versatile techniques that can be employed reliably across a range of woodworking projects.
You will also explore the potential of the router, an essential addition to your tool kit. At the end of the course you will have constructed a stylish plywood and pine planter for your home.
This course will be led by Odel Jeffries, a designer/maker with a background in Architecture and based at Blackhorse Workshop.
We are ensuring limited numbers of people on site at all times and carrying out social distancing measures with additional cleaning in place. All of our teachers will receive training in our new rules and we will be making all attendees aware of how to safely take part at the workshop. We will not be providing refreshments so please bring your own soft drinks and/or snacks. If you have your own face covering please bring this with you. We will have some disposable masks should you need one. If you don't feel well or need to self-isolate, please don't come to the workshop but let us know as soon as possible and we can discuss options with you.
Please note that refunds and/or changes to date are available up to 7 days before the course starts.
