That might be a research proposal, a funding bid, an academic article, a reflective blog, or something else you’ve been meaning to return to.The day is designed to offer:protected time away from everyday distractionsa gentle shared structurea sense of working alongside others, without pressurespace for reflectionopportunities for conversation and mutual encouragementYou’ll bring your own writing project and work at your own pace. There will be short moments to check in as a group, and plenty of uninterrupted time to write.This is not about productivity for productivity’s sake. It’s about making space for thinking, for shaping ideas, and for being in the company of others who understand the realities of independent research and hybrid academic–creative practice.Help shape the retreatIf you’re interested in coming along, you’re warmly invited to join the IRN meeting on 25 February, where we’ll co-design the day together – including format, rhythms, and what support would be most useful.
