Parents/caregivers will also be learning about other TVCC and community based swim opportunities.Prior to attending this pool group, a Recreation Therapist will contact you to learn more about your child.Goals:1. Water Confidence: feel comfortable in water and feel comfortable in a pool setting2. Water-Positive Attitude: develop a positive connection with water through play.3. Water Skills: learn early swim skills assisted by a parent/caregiver including active movement, floating, moving on your stomach.4. Parent CoachingFor this swim program, parents/caregivers MUST accompany their child in the water and pool deck/change rooms and be within arms reach at all times, even if they are wearing a floatation device. Parents/caregivers must be comfortable moving through chest-deep water (1.2m), understand how to be safe in the pool, and be able to respond to the needs of their swimmer.
