And many readers feel that a story truly begins when the dialogue commences, driving the plot forward and, most importantly, allowing our reader to create the necessary bond with our characters to ensure they are emotionally-invested as the plot builds.We learn so much about people/about ourcharacters through the way they speak, the expressions they use, plus, we can convey emotions to ensure our stories are as rich, compelling and gripping as possible.
