In 2011 she became a part of the Young Talent Class at the Maastricht Conservatory, studying initially with Katia Veekmans and subsequently with Tonie Ehlen.In 2017, she began her university studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy” in Leipzig, at the oldest music university in Germany, in the class of Professor Christian A. Pohl. There, under the guidance of Professor Jacques Ammon, she subsequently completed her undergraduate as well as her postgraduate degree.Ying Shan is currently pursuing her Artist Diploma in London at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under the guidance of Prof. Ronan O’Hora and Prof. Charles Owen.In her youth, Ying Shan won first prize at the Princess Christina Competition Zuyd and second prize at the Steinway Piano Competition.
