They listen closely, respond to what is happening, build on each other’s ideas and turn unexpected moments — even mistakes — into something useful.So how do they do it? Come along and find out for yourself.In this fun, practical 100-minute introduction, we’ll explore some of the principles behind improvisation and put them into practice through simple, playful exercises.No acting experience is required, you won’t need to be funny, and you won’t be expected to perform.There’ll be a little theory, plenty of practical exercises — and a lot of fun.Dave Bourn is an improvisation performer, trainer and university tutor specialising in devising and improvisation.
