# Event Details - **Event Name**: Kintsugi Class For Beginner's - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 18 Aug, 2023 at 07:00 pm – Sun, 20 Dec, 2026 at 05:30 pm (+01:00) - **Event Description**: Kintsugi Japanese Ceramics - Art of imperfectionsAbout this EventDiscover the Japanese art of kintsugi at this London pottery class and create a beautiful ceramic piece to take home.Kintsugi is an ancient art form that celebrates the Japanese philosophy of the beauty of imperfection. It involves putting broken pieces of pottery back together with gold, embracing the cracks to produce a beautiful piece of art.In this workshop, your experienced tutor will tell you all about the history and philosophy of kintsugi whilst taking you through the process of making your own kintsugi piece.Kintsugi is a perfect solution for a mistakenly broken treasured item, but to practice this art form you'll learn how to safely break pottery to practice mending it in the kintsugi way, without overdoing the cracks. You'll use a hammer and drill with plenty of support from your teacher. The gold of kintsugi is what makes it so beautiful and in the next stage of your craft class, you'll learn to use a micro metal mix with epoxy resin to create your gold solution. You'll then use this solution to fix together your broken pottery pieces, creating a wonderful piece of perfectly imperfect art. You'll finish this London kintsugi class with lots of new knowledge on kintsugi pottery and the ability to mend broken ceramic pieces. You'll also take away your own handmade piece of kintsugi art. Kintsugi is a therapeutic process and you'll feel a sense of calm and accomplishment as you finish this special workshop.Your finished piece is only for display not for food use, microwaves, ovens or the dishwasher. https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events4/banners/3a847210-d5c8-11f1-8dbc-a9b95917a7e4-rimg-w555-h740-dc282818-gmir.jpg https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events6/banners/3abb1270-d5c8-11f1-8dbc-a9b95917a7e4-rimg-w532-h740-dcf8f8f8-gmir.jpg https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events4/banners/3aefb700-d5c8-11f1-8dbc-a9b95917a7e4-rimg-w592-h740-dc382828-gmir.jpg https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events10/banners/3b2768d0-d5c8-11f1-8dbc-a9b95917a7e4-rimg-w592-h740-dc080808-gmir.jpg https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events7/banners/3b658340-d5c8-11f1-8dbc-a9b95917a7e4-rimg-w592-h740-dc282818-gmir.jpg - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/london/kintsugi-class-for-beginners/10000693136920187 - **Event Categories**: workshops, art - **Slot details of has slots**: - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 0 - **Event Highlights**: - Duration: 22 hours 30 minutes - Location: Buckle Street Studios by Locke, Aldgate - Languages: English ## Ticket Details - **Ticket Price Range**: min: 62, max: 62, currency: GBP ## Event venue details - **city**: London - **state**: EN - **country**: United Kingdom - **location**: Buckle Street Studios by Locke, Aldgate - **lat**: 51.5144166 - **long**: -0.0703278 - **full address**: Buckle Street Studios by Locke, Aldgate, 21 Buckle St, London, United Kingdom ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: Kintsugi Class For Beginner's - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events5/banners/9b5938d7f73825532cfad9b52ca2afb142765510bb0264c22d66e80acd1c3019-rimg-w770-h578-dcf8f8f8-gmir.jpg?v=1789506350 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is Kintsugi Class For Beginner's being held? - **A:** Kintsugi Class For Beginner's takes place on Fri, 18 Aug, 2023 at 07:00 pm to Sun, 20 Dec, 2026 at 05:30 pm at Buckle Street Studios by Locke, Aldgate, 21 Buckle St, London, United Kingdom. - **Q**: Who is organizing Kintsugi Class For Beginner's? - **A:** Kintsugi Class For Beginner's is organized by Brandon Le. - **Q**: What has been the experience of attendees at Brandon Le's events? - **A:** Brandon Le has 383+ followers on AllEvents, reflecting a trusted and active community of event-goers who follow their events.
