These are not tightly-scripted affairs, but friendly gatherings, approx 5 miles long, that include a refreshment stop for lunch. As per my regular walking tours, I'll point out and talk about interesting, quirky and unusual things along the way, and we'll finish our day approx 4pm, probably in a pub. Some people like to stay for the full route, some may wish to leave early making use of the convenient bus routes and stations along the way......................This route starts a few minutes' walk from Seven Sisters station, Tottenham N15, and takes us down the A10, tracing a Roman road that linked Norfolk to Kent via London Bridge. There are lots of interesting things to see along the way showing how this important thoroughfare has adapted throughout the centures. Along the way we will pop in to parks and green spaces including one of London's 'magnificent seven' cemeteries. We will also visit a vibrant street market, see some well-preserved ghostsigns and admire a cross-section of architecture from alms houses to art deco. One flat fee £15 – no concession rates for these longer walks.The exact meeting point will be clearly described on your confirmation sent via email immediately after purchase.
