Introduction To Mobile App Design | Term 1 | 18-19


Prototype your own Mobile App / Introduction to Mobile App Design.

This course runs for two sessions across two weeks, on Saturday 1 and 8 December between 10am-4pm.

On this course you will learn the industry and practice of Mobile Apps and how to Prototype your own Mobile App using professional industry standard Prototyping tools. This workshop will encourage you to use your ‘critical thinking’ skills and the theme of your App will be geared towards solving a problem or raising awareness within a particular social matter through Mobile Apps such as Climate Change, Bullying or Homelessness, Crime Prevention. Or alternatively, if you have an App idea that you would like to explore, then we can also incorporate this into your business model.

What You Will Learn


Students will learn how to find Mobile App ideas.

Students will demonstrate how to produce a User Flow / User Journey for their Mobile App to show how it will work.

Students will demonstrate how to incorporate the best features and User Interface elements for their Mobile App.

Students will produce a series of ‘Low and High Fidelity’ mockups for their Mobile App.

Students will learn how to turn their idea into a fully functioning Mobile App Prototype to work on their Mobile Phone Devices.

Students will learn the various monetisation platforms and the best channels to incorporate in their Mobile App.
