Join us on 7 March!Deborah Frances-White (The Guilty Feminist), will join Baroness Helena Kennedy KC in conversation, looking at how the challenges for women’s rights have changed since 2016 and the threats we face now.Panel discussions will consider issues pressing in 2016 and more so now: Sexual Harassment and Power will focus on sexual harassment in the workplace and beyond and the Criminalisation of Women will examine the experience of women in the criminal justice system. We end the day with women Changemakers discussing the experiences women face when they use their voice to make change, including by using or challenging the law.Our guest speakers include Jo Hamilton OBE, former subpostmaster, author of “Why are you here, Mrs Hamilton?, Poppy Jay, documentary maker and co-creator of Brown Girls Do It Too, Sile Reynolds, Freedom from Torture, Jule Schnakenberg, World’s Youth for Climate Justice, Kathryn Chadwick and Becky Clarke, Manchester Metropolitan University, Vanessa Wiggins, Bark & Co, Emma Norton, Centre for Military Justice, Dilraj Sokhi-Watson, Equate Scotland, Zelda Perkins CBE, Can't Buy My Silence UK, and Harriet Wistrich, Centre for Women’s Justice.Our programme is now, with a few surprises yet to be announced.We hope you can join us for what promises to be an inspiring and action-packed day. The event will be taking place on a hybrid basis, with tickets available to attend in person and online.
