- **Event Description**: Join us in person to dive into how international law tackles transnational networks and accountability challenges!About this EventJoin Us at the International Law Symposium!The Centre for Justice, Law and Society, in collaboration with Legal Action Worldwide, invites you to an International Law Symposium on Transnational Networks and Accountability.This symposium brings together leading expertise and current research to explore how transnational networks shape accountability, justice systems, and legal responses across borders, with particular attention to Global South contexts.The keynote address will be delivered by Sir Howard Morrison KC, UK Independent Advisor to the Ukraine Prosecutor General and President of the Court of Appeal of the British Indian Ocean Territories. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, University of Cambridge, and has previously served as a judge at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, the UN International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, and the International Criminal Court.The session will be chaired by Dr Tonny Kirabira, an international law scholar and practitioner. The symposium theme draws from his recent book, Transnational Networks and Justice in the Global South: Comparative Examination of African and Asian Contexts (Springer, 2025).Join academics, practitioners, and students for an engaging discussion on contemporary international law challenges and accountability frameworks.Venue: Mock Court Room | University Square Stratford Campus | Room US 1.18
