A call to regulate UPFs came from the UK House of Lords report discussed at last year’s Imperial event by Baroness Walmsley, then Chair of the Food, Diet and Obesity Committee. The UK Parliament is further considering the subject in a Commons inquiry on Food and Weight Management, for which the new Imperial event aims to provide useful inputs.The Ultra-processed Food Policy Forum will bring new UPF policy experiences from across the globe to the attention of policy makers, researchers and civil society.
