A new academic year, a fresh start, and apparently another chance to collect gold stars. This month we’re thinking about achievement. Certificates, badges, awards, exhibitions, sales, followers, praise and the occasional well placed pat on the back. But who gets to decide what excellence actually is?Is it about being the best, being recognised, or simply getting better than you were yesterday? We’re opening up the table for a discussion about validation, pride, comparison and progress.Bring something to share, whether it is an old certificate, a proud moment, a piece you think deserves a gold star, a recent achievement or simply your presence.Firepit Gallery, North Greenwich, LondonWednesday 14th October | 6PM – 8PMHouse of Art is a creative collective built on collaboration, conversation, and community. Co-founded by Curtis and Pearl, we bring artists and audiences together through experiences that sit at the intersection of art, healing, and dialogue. Our events blend expression and exploration — from live art and wellbeing sessions to open discussions that challenge how we see and create. We’re an open space for artists, dreamers, healers and makers. https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events2/banners/04579380-c0c3-11f1-aa7e-893ff00ac3f2-rimg-w524-h740-dcd8c848-gmir.jpg https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events5/banners/04944e60-c0c3-11f1-aa7e-893ff00ac3f2-rimg-w555-h740-dc080808-gmir.jpg https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events7/banners/04c76c50-c0c3-11f1-aa7e-893ff00ac3f2-rimg-w1200-h370-dc486848-gmir.png Photography and Filming take place during workshops and gallery opening times.
