We call them High Potential!About this EventReady to turn creativity into opportunity? 🌟On Wednesday 28th October we are doing something special. We have organised a specific event for young people who are incredibly talented but are making the wrong choices. They are getting caught up with the wrong crowd, here's what we mean:They have been to Pr*sonThey are potentially on their way to Pr*son if things don't changeThey are known to the policeThey are known to the Youth Offending Teams or Youth Justice TeamsThey have been stopped with weapons on themThey are potentially gang affiliated (and they want to get out)They go missing for days and then they come back homeAnd other similar concernsYou as a parent, guardian or family member have concerns and you know that they have so much potential. They just need help to put it in the right direction.If this is the case, then this event is for them.We want to show them that there is another way. We will have people and organisations at this event, who can support them.To be honest, we don't know exactly how this event will go, but we can no longer watch while we lose talented, gifted and HIGH POTENTIAL young people. We know that we need to do something to make a difference.This mindset is why 1000 Black Boys started in 2018. We saw a problem and the stereotypes projected on our boys and young men, and we were no longer ok to just let it continue.We want to show them that they are High Potential and can use their gifts in a way that means they don't have to look over their shoulder but can contribute positively to society.Funded by Addison Youth, this event brings together trailblazers, industry experts, and innovative entrepreneurs who have walked the path themselves and are here to share their stories and strategies.
