Format
The first round will have random pairings. Subsequent rounds will be Swiss pairings. This will be a resurrection tournament (no SPP, injuries do not carry over).
Rules
We will be using the NAF Tournament Rules for 2024. Teams will have 1,250,000 gp to buy players, team goods, star players, and inducements. If both teams have the same star player, the player will play for both teams. The inducements available are star players (including those in the most recent Spike! Journal), Halfling Master Chef, bribes, Bloodweiser kegs, and riotous rookies. Wizards, special play cards, (in)famous coaches, and other inducements are not available for purchase. Teams must have 11 players before hiring any star players.
Good sportsmanship is expected from all participants. While the tournament is a competitive setting, everyone is there to have fun and that includes your opponents.
Skills may be given to players according to the following tier list. Players may be given a maximum of two additional skills and Star players may not be given additional skills. These skills are free and do not count towards the team building cap of 1,250,000 gp.
Tier 1 (6 primary skills; max 4 of each skill; max 1 player with stacked skills):
Amazon, Dark Elf, Dwarf, Lizardmen, Norse, Orc, Skaven, Undead, Underworld, Vampire, Wood Elf
Tier 2 (6 skills, of which 1 may be secondary skills; max 4 of each skill; max 2 players with stacked skills):
Chaos Dwarf, Chaos Renegades, Elven Union, High Elf, Human, Imperial Nobility, Khorne, Necromantic, Old World Alliance, Slann, Tomb Kings
Tier 3 (7 skills, of which 1 may be secondary skills; max 5 of each skill; max 2 players with stacked skills):
Black Orc, Chaos Chosen, Gnome, Snotling, Nurgle
Tier 4 (7 skills, of which 2 may be secondary skills; max 5 of each skill; max 3 players with stacked skills):

In addition to their gold cost, Star players will also cost or add to the number of primary skills from the skill packages above according to their tier below (and based on the amount of free time they are available to train with your team based on other contractual obligations).
