- **Event Description**: A 4-week primer in painting with oils, in a charming private studio in Stoke Newington, running from January 31 - February 21About this EventThis 4-week Saturday morning course is aimed at beginners and people with some experience painting who would like to brush up on their skills. Each week we cover different  fundamentals of oil painting, including: palette lay out, materials, establishing value and atmosphere, composition, brushwork, colour mixing and colour relationships. Lessons are carefully structured and consist of weekly exercises based on thematic slide shows of dozens of inspiring paintings from art history up until the present. Class size is small (8 max) and each participant receives a great deal of individual attention. This Intro course is a great way to 'get your feet wet' and begin to develop confidence in painting in oils.Note on fees: £170 fee includes tuition and all materials except for brushes (I can give suggestions for inexpensive sets, or you can buy a set from me as well). Tuition is non-refundable unless a replacement is found for your spot.Access: The studio is up two flights of stairs.
