- **Event Description**: ‘Retracing London's Shoemaking Past - Notorious Shoemakers and Notable Shoes.’About this EventLocation: EB_M01The Worshipful Company of Cordwainers is pleased to invite you to attend a lecture from Freeman Deborah Carré about the history of shoemakers (cordwainers) in the City of London on Thursday 14th May.The lecture will explore the life of shoemakers in the City across eight centuries, from 1200 to the present day, the shoes they made and the feet they shod.The session will conclude with a Q&A segment, allowing audience members to ask questions.SpeakersCarréducker - Deborah Carré, alongside business partner James Ducker, founded Carréducker in 2004. Carréducker are award-winning independent handsewn shoemakers with a bespoke workshop and training school in the iconic Oxo Tower Wharf on London’s South Bank.
