Crouch End Festival Chorus joins with Hertfordshire Chorus to perform one of Elgar’s great choral works, The Kingdom, in a concert to celebrate its landmark recording.

All four soloists from the recording, Francesca Chiejina, Dame Sarah Connolly, Benjamin Hulett and Ashley Riches join us for this special event, which brings The Kingdom - considered by some to be Elgar’s greatest choral work - to this world class venue, under the baton of Elgar conductor of the moment, David Temple.

A mixture of gentle conversational sections and astonishingly dramatic choral passages, The Kingdom also features some of Elgar’s finest orchestral writing.
