Everyone has heard of ancient Egypt and the pyramids that have made it a tourist destination, but people may not know so much about our delicious cuisine. Egyptian people are happy and welcoming and love to cook and share food.I started to cook when I was 10 with my mum and grandma. The first thing I made was Egyptian flatbread. I love to make Koshary, which is a mixture of types of pasta with rice and spices that is served with special sauces and is very popular in Egypt.I used to run a restaurant in Cairo, mainly serving Koshary and falafel and other Egyptian specialities which I teach in my classes. I take every opportunity I can to cook.
