In Dreamscape, the violence of her death is juxtaposed with lyrical and joyous remembrance of her life. As each of her twelve bullet wounds is described by a Coroner’s report in cold clinical detail, Tyisha’s life bursts into vivid detail on stage – from the joy of dancing and softball to first kisses and hair styling. Widely acclaimed for its clear-eyed look at the relationship between race, the body and violence, the show drew rave reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2025, won a Fringe Theatre Award, and was named one of The Stage’s Best Shows To See and in The Scotsman’s Top 5 Shows.
