We’re just here to have a good time!What to expect:Somatic practice and grounding ourselves in songSongwriting in small groups Building community - getting to know one another and create togetherCollective alchemy - contribute to and make suggestions for the choir’s direction, repertoire, and definitionManifesto:This choir is a space crafted for and by people of colourCollective singing is a radical act of joy, and joy is an act of resistanceWe embrace music as a balm for individual and collective trauma within the POC communityDiscrimination has no place hereWe demand and create space to celebrate the diversity of POC voicesWe all shape the tapestry of our collective soundAccess:Nearest station: Brixton - 4 mins walk. The Underground (Victoria line) station offers step-free access from the street to the platform. The National Rail station (Southeastern) does not have step-free access.The Advocacy Academy has step-free access throughout the venue, an accessible lift, accessible toilets, gender-neutral toilets, a quiet room, and baby changing facilities.A note about tickets: No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
