Creative Pattern Cutting: Skirt Adaption

Join us for an exciting one-day workshop dedicated to the art of skirt-making! This hands-on experience will provide a standard skirt block, serving as your foundation for creativity.

Throughout the day, you will embark on a step-by-step journey to demystify the process, ensuring that every learner grasps each technique confidently.

You will start by mastering the art of taking precise measurements—either of yourself or those of your fellow participants—setting the stage for your unique designs. Armed with your measurements, you will dive into the exhilarating world of skirt adaptations, transforming the pre-made block into stunning, personalised creations.

You will learn the following:

• How to take body measurements.
• How to trace a skirt block accurately with all the markings
• How to do a wrap skirt, panel skirt, godet, gore skirt and mermaid with a train.
• How to properly label and mark individual pattern pieces with symbols and notches.

Skill Level: Beginner-friendly. No prior experience is required.

Must be over 16 years old

• Paper scissors
• Tape measure
• Mechanical pencil (HB 0.5) or pencils 2H
• Eraser
• Pencil sharpener
