The music takes you on a journey, starting off slowly, gradually building the energy to a peak and then bringin you back down for an integration. There are no moves or ways to dance in ecstatic dance, you are free to express yourselves however you'd like. You can dance on your own or with other dancers, however you feel.3 Simple Principles1. We Dance without shoes: This allows us to connect more fully with the ground.2. We Dance without words: This makes it easier to be in a meditative state, be in your body and let go of the mind.3. We Dance as we are: Drugs/alcohol free, phone/camera/video free, just be yourself; with respect for ourselves, the space, and one another.Please note that by purchasing a ticket you agree to take full responsibility of yourself, your health, your well-being and all of your belongings whilst at the dance and that Cocoon is not liable for any injury or harm that you may incur at this event. Pregnancy Guidance for Sound BathIf you are pregnant, you are warmly welcome to attend Cocoon sessions once you are in your second or third trimester. Our sound baths are gentle and relaxing, with no heavy or intense gong work. Please let us know in advance if you are pregnant so we can best support you. If you are in your first trimester, we kindly ask that you wait before attending.
