# Event Details - **Event Name**: Coach Trip: WWT Welney - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 05 Dec, 2026 at 07:50 am – Sat, 05 Dec, 2026 at 07:30 pm (+00:00) - **Event Description**: Join us for a winter visit to WWT Welney in Norfolk, a vast wetland on the Ouse Washes famous for its winter swan spectacle.About this EventOn this trip we will watch the swans gather on the washes, with Whooper Swans newly arrived from Iceland and, among them, the scarcer Bewick's Swan from Arctic Russia. The daily flight to and from the surrounding fields is the highlight, watched in comfort from Welney's heated hides.Alongside the swans the washes also teem with other wildfowl, and as we walk around the reserve or enjoy panoramic views from the visitor centre we also expect to see Short-eared Owls hunting, Brown Hares and the increasingly scarce Tree Sparrow. At 3.30pm we will be observing a swan-feeding session, which includes an introductory 15 to 20-minute talk about the Ouse Washes and the swans. The trip is suitable for everyone, whether you are a beginner or an experienced birdwatcher. Newcomers are very welcome. You can join our expert volunteer guide to walk round the reserve or go round on your own, as you prefer.More information about the destination can be found on the WWT Welney website, and on the reserve's eBird hotspot. You can read a blog about our last trip to Welney and what we saw on the RSPB Central London Local Group website. On that trip, because of a recent storm and extensive flooding, the swans were at a distance - but we still had a brilliant day!Photos above all © RSPB, Ben AndrewEntry Fee (not included in Eventbrite ticket)WWT Member: FreeAdult Non-Member: £5.91 or £6.52 with Gift Aid (online booking in advance is recommended for quicker entry and a discount)See the WWT Welney website for more information about ticketsFacilitiesVisitor centre: café (hot and cold food), shop, toiletsBird hidesTravel InformationCoaches depart from Stop 40B, Victoria Embankment, 08:00 sharpArrive by 07:50 to board and stow your gearNearest Tube: EmbankmentOutbound journey includes a 20-minute services stop where you can use toilet facilities and buy food and drink; no stop on return; WC on coach Depart reserve at 17:00What to BringClothes for all weathersBinoculars (and scope if you have one)Packed lunch if you wish to join our guide for lunch in one of the hides - alternatively you can buy food and eat at the cafe - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/london/coach-trip-wwt-welney/100001992744057118 - **Event Categories**: trips-adventures - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 0 - **Event Highlights**: - Duration: 11 hours 40 minutes - Location: Stop 40b Victoria Embankment - Languages: English ## Ticket Details - **Ticket Price Range**: min: 30, max: 35, currency: GBP ## Event venue details - **city**: London - **state**: EN - **country**: United Kingdom - **location**: Stop 40b Victoria Embankment - **lat**: 51.5088533 - **long**: -0.1201889 - **full address**: Stop 40b Victoria Embankment, Victoria Embankment, London, United Kingdom ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: Coach Trip: WWT Welney - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events6/banners/89d4072960d4d8fcc76fb5b92b4e75daaa4f14bdf6ea33a390257f3b31ede878-rimg-w1200-h800-dc587888-gmir.jpg?v=1787262979 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is Coach Trip: WWT Welney being held? - **A:** Coach Trip: WWT Welney takes place on Sat, 05 Dec, 2026 at 07:50 am to Sat, 05 Dec, 2026 at 07:30 pm at Stop 40b Victoria Embankment, Victoria Embankment, London, United Kingdom. - **Q**: Who is organizing Coach Trip: WWT Welney? - **A:** Coach Trip: WWT Welney is organized by RSPB Central London Local Group. ## Structured Data (JSON-LD) ```json [ { "@context": "https://schema.org", "@type": "Event", "name": "Coach Trip: WWT Welney", "image": "https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events6/banners/89d4072960d4d8fcc76fb5b92b4e75daaa4f14bdf6ea33a390257f3b31ede878-rimg-w1200-h800-dc587888-gmir.jpg?v=1787262979", "startDate": "2026-12-05T07:50:00+00:00", "endDate": "2026-12-05T19:30:00+00:00", "url": "https://allevents.in/london/coach-trip-wwt-welney/100001992744057118", "eventStatus": "https://schema.org/EventScheduled", "location": { "@type": "Place", "name": "Stop 40b Victoria Embankment", "address": { "@type": "PostalAddress", "streetAddress": "Victoria Embankment", "postalCode": "WC2N 6PB", "addressLocality": "London", "addressRegion": "EN", "addressCountry": "GB" }, "geo": { "@type": "GeoCoordinates", "latitude": "51.5088533", "longitude": "-0.1201889" } }, "eventAttendanceMode": "https://schema.org/OfflineEventAttendanceMode", "description": "Join us for a winter visit to WWT Welney in Norfolk, a vast wetland on the Ouse Washes famous for its winter swan spectacle.", "offers": [ { "@type": "AggregateOffer", "availability": "https://schema.org/InStock", "priceCurrency": "GBP", "availabilityStarts": "2026-08-20", "availabilityEnds": "2026-12-05T19:30:00+00:00", "validFrom": "2026-08-20", "lowPrice": "30.00", "highPrice": "35.00", "price": "30.00", "url": "https://allevents.in/london/coach-trip-wwt-welney/100001992744057118" }, { "@type": "Offer", "availability": "https://schema.org/InStock", "priceCurrency": "GBP", "availabilityStarts": "2026-08-20", "availabilityEnds": "", "validFrom": "2026-08-20", "url": "https://allevents.in/london/coach-trip-wwt-welney/100001992744057118", "price": "30.00", "name": "CLLG Members" }, { "@type": "Offer", "availability": "https://schema.org/InStock", "priceCurrency": "GBP", "availabilityStarts": "2026-08-20", "availabilityEnds": "", "validFrom": "2026-08-20", "url": "https://allevents.in/london/coach-trip-wwt-welney/100001992744057118", "price": "35.00", "name": "Non-members" } ], "organizer": [ { "@type": "Organization", "name": "RSPB Central London Local Group", "url": "https://allevents.in/org/rspb-central-london-local-group/22990118", "description": "We are an RSPB Local Group, based in London, that promotes an interest in and understanding of birds in particular and wildlife in general, including their habitats and environment: we support the work of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB)." } ] } ] ```
