# Event Details - **Event Name**: Brown Hairstreak Butterfly Egg Survey - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 10 Jan, 2026 at 10:00 am – Sat, 10 Jan, 2026 at 12:00 pm - **Event Description**: Join us at The Welsh Harp where we will be learning about Brown Hairstreak Butterflies and searching for their eggs.About this EventAbout this eventThis is a free community engagement session organised by TCV and Barnet Council.We will be learning about Brown Hairstreak Butterflies which are uncommon in the UK but have recently seen an increase in their population around London. Brown Hairstreaks lay their eggs on young blackthorn trees.
