Using the iNaturalist app, Tom will guide you around Sydenham Hill Wood and Dulwich Wood where you will be learning to identify your observations while contributing to the database of species living within the woodland. This walk will focus on galls, distinctive abnormal growths formed by trees' protective reaction to chemicals secreted by feeding insects, mites, bacteria, or fungi.Download iNaturalist for Android hereDownload iNaturalist for iPhone hereOpen the app and make an account before you arrive at the walk to make sure your observations are recorded.If you have any trouble with app, don't be put off.
