I am delighted to continue passing on this joy to many more" AikedaThis class is a natural follow on to our first "Beginners Crochet" class. It's also a good class for those of you that already know the basic stitches but perhaps haven't yet ventured into making items using a pattern. During the day, Aikeda will guide you through 2 small projects which use a number of different techniques to help you build your confidence and realise the potential of crochet!In the morning:-- Work in the round- Follow a pattern and symbol chart- Use chain, slip stitch, half treble, picot- Shape through decreasing- Create a 3D itemL earning Project: Traditional BootiesIn the afternoon:- Introduction to 'Filet' (a type of crochet characterised by patterns of empty and filled squares)- Work in the round- Follow a pattern and symbol chart- Use chain, slip stitch, double & treble crochet- Create a drawstring cord- Slip stitch the bottom edge together to form your pouch.L earning Project: Love heart drawstring pouchAbout the Tutor: The class is taught by Aikeda Watson who will guide you with practical help and tips, give observations and feedback with your learning. The studio is light and bright with a homely feel to help you feel relaxed and inspired whilst learning. You will have your own work area (with some shared facilities like ironing, cutting table) We purposefully keep class sizes small to ensure a quality experience and plenty of guidance time with the tutor.Class Includes: 4mm 'Knit Pro' crochet hook, 2 x DK 25g wool, "Crochet Unravelled" booklet (a clear & concise guide to learning crochet for right & left handed students)Please Note: There is no food or drink allowed in the studio, You are welcome to bring a sealed water bottle but please ensure all 'take outs' are consumed before arriving.
